We are committed to offering safe and organic materials with minimal environmental impact.

We use 100% natural materials, no chemicals are used during any stage of our production - no bleach, no chemicals, no dyes.

Our fibers are raw and undyed, and we do not use any water except for the natural washing of the fleece - ensuring minimal water use with no water pollution and no waste water.

We use 3-ply twisted yarn in our kilims which adds to the durability and enables the ideal thickness and heaviness (2 kg. per square meter). This makes the kilim sit on the floor in the desirable way.

Wool is hypoallergenic-contrary to popular belief. A good thermal and acoustic insulator. Wool fibres can absorb large quantities of water/moisture and regulate humidity. Wool is naturally odour resistant. Wool offers coziness and comfort. The naive beauty of natural colors and textures creates delightful feelings and pleases the senses.

Turak kilims are made with undyed pure new wool - wool in pure state ensures premium quality and longevity.

Pure new wool is shorn from the living sheep, not blended with other fibres or recycled, and is not subjected to any processes damaging to the fibres.

Undyed wool does not go through the dyeing process - which mostly damages the fibers, therefore keeps its authenticity and the natural characteristics of the raw fibers.
